An instructional series, created by John Burstein (Slim Goodbody). Produced in cooperation with GPN, the eleven 15-minute video programs provide a lively, fresh and integrated approach to health education. In addition to the video programs, there's an interactive web site and a teacher's guide -- either print or on-line
During the course of the presentation, host Slim Goodbody and a diverse group of target-age children engage in on-location explorations with health experts. The program features animation, music, dance, colorful costumes and puppets. The series is engaging, positive, fast-paced and visually and aurally stimulating.
Good Bodies helps students acquire the knowledge and skills that will enable them to adopt behaviors that enhance good health. Health educators believe it is easier to prevent risky health behaviors than to change them once they've been established. An appropriate place to start is in schools with students in Kindergarten through Grade 2.
