Perseverance pays off. Just ask Keisha Callins. After graduating from college she applied to numberous medical schools but was not admitted. Discouraged but not defeated, Ms. Callins aimed for a Masters degree in Public Health and earned the degree. She applied to medical school again. This time she was accepted at the Morehouse School of Medicine. Now in her second year, Ms. Callins is studying to be a pediatrician.
